The
Canvas Lady specializes in custom designed canvas for your boating
needs.
Your
boat is unique to you, and that is why we take all our patterns on
the boat, custom bend the metal to your boat’s specifications,
use quality materials, fabricate and install on your boat with
care. Much of the work
is custom and involves actually seeing the boat before quoting a
price.
We
offer a variety of fabrics, including the latest Sunbrella®
patterns for interior and exterior work, and we can come directly
to your boat for an appointment to view samples.
For
our interior projects, we have access to a large selection of
foams including Memory laminates.
Our interior fabrics are all rated for the marine
environment. We can
also restyle cushions with the more comfortable bolster, or
reshape existing designs. Draperies,
Pillows, Rug Covers, and Custom fitted bedding, including sheets,
are also available to make your stay aboard more inviting and
comfortable.
For
our exterior projects, we offer Sunbrella®, SeaMark™, and Stamoid®
fabrics. The best
quality window vinyl in 30, 40 and 60 gauge is available including
Strataglass® for the best scratch resistance.
Tenara® sewing thread is recommended for all boats heading
South as it has superior longevity in the marine environment.
We also offer accessories such as custom welded handrails,
leather grab strips and leather lacing.
Other
nautical items available are custom embroidered dock bags,
pillows, wine bottle holders, and fender covers to name a few…
We
are the recommended repair specialists for Bassett Boat Company,
Marine Max, Azimut and Meridian Dealers for the Rhode Island area.
We also service many charter companies, including Bare Boat
Sailing Charters.
The
owner of The Canvas Lady is a member of the Marine Fabricators
Association, and Vice President of the NECPA—New England Canvas
Products Association. She
is also a sailor and when she is not sewing or working on the
water, she is living aboard and racing J24 sailboats on
Narragansett Bay. |
